Lynda Hunter is an Ottawa woman who wants to live pain free, so that she can spend time with her husband and two young children, doing the things that all of us take for granted. For the past three years, however, Lynda has lived in almost constant debilitating pain akin to an extreme migraine - one that never ends.
The Lynda Hunter Fund was the brainchild of a group of Lynda's friends who have watched her suffer, and rally to live a normal life in the face of her extreme pain. We want to raise awareness of Lynda's situation in the hopes of raising money for her to avail herself of treatment options not covered by OHIP. These treatments cost up to $80,000 - a cost that is prohibitive to Lynda and her family for reasons associated with Lynda's inability to work.
We strongly believe that a grassroots movement on Lynda's behalf will generate enough to help her achieve her goal, and that of her family - to live a normal life, pain free. We believe that most people are kind and generous and willing to help others in the community.
We believe that if each person who hears about Lynda were to give $2, $5 or $10, and then spread the word so that others would give that (or more - we won't complain!) - we will reach our target quickly and within our own community.
